Am in pain this morning - the rubber cushions from my lash curlers fell out &, still half asleep, I managed to squash & squeeze my upper eyelid in between the 2 metal grips. Ouch. Why do we girls do such things? I had an accident once with them when I heated them with a hairdryer & they got a bit too hot - singed eyelid on that occasion. I think I should just throw them away, but vanity gets the better of me. Anyone else been maimed with eyelash curlers - or is it just me?

lol - It's just you Salla - you're a wonderfully beserk person.. don't ever change!!!
Have you got or would you be willing to try Lacombe Hypnoise mascara? NM put me on to it and you can pretty much throw away eyelash curlers, (except maybe on a night out if you want even more definition). It's good stuff.

It can't be just me surely? I think they're just accidents waiting to happen. (I also find eyebrow tweezers quite lethal - but they're not always used on eyebrows, if you get my meaning, so that could be why......)

Thanks for the beserk compliment bytheway - I can go with that ;-)

CD - I do have a Lancombe mascara which I bought 2 weeks ago - it's one of those vibrating ones. Now anything that vibrates gets my vote, but I still can't quite get that degree of curl that Penelope Cruz gets....

(& isn't it embarrassing when it goes off in your make-up bag?!)
eyelash curlers??

Bloody hell, im lucky if i have time to check my shoes are matching before I pelt out the house, never mind faff around with eyelash curlers!
it's of no consolation, but I've been known to walk through the house whilst curling my eye lashes.. and have tripped before! I lost a few lashes. it hurt :o/

That's cos I'm old, free & single and only have myself to get organised in a morning Boo - when the kids were school age, it would have been progress to have even remembered to brush my hair.
Not tried the vibrating one, don't think I'm really up for that. (I also don't like electric tooth brushes which I need to ask a question about later, thanks for the reminder). Penelope is wearing falsies... You could get those done at an eyebrow bar or model at one of those training beautician places and get it done for free. One of the girls at work did this last week and they looked great! Alas, I can't get them done as I go to the gym too much so wouldn't look after them properly.
I don't bother even doing that Salla if im not working- I wear a hat. I'm such a scruff.
Question Author
Ooh no, can't bear falsies. I had those chicken fillets once - one fell out & slapped on the dancefloor when I was at a rave.... good job no-one slipped on it, could have been tricky.
The natural ones that Space do are pretty good.... Mind you, so are the sparkly ones but I never have occasion to wear them.... I like them but unless I'm really dressing up there's no point in havng them on as I'll just end up looking there's a catapilla on my face midway through body combat or something.
eyelash curlers in the morning are you insane (well at any time)

if i manage eyeliner is a fooking miracle
