I am planning on buying a Nintendo DS from duty free at Manchester airport, but now wonder if it would be worth waiting til we get to Dubai airport. Any ideas?

Often, some thing like, e.g. a watch in Dubai, may have a guarantee that applies only in the country of sale. And, UK Customs can charge duty and VAT on an item whether it has been used or not. But it's worth a go. (And discard every bit of packaging before you return).
