I had this exact same problem... I searched everywhere & the only company I could find was Duo of Bath... in the end I gave in & paid 100... though I wish I hadn't bothered as I've hardly worn them! :-(

I bought a pair for 100Euro approx 65 in D2 Jeans. I searched everywhere at the time and found you just have to pay more for the tight fit.

i have a similar problem - i can usually fit my hand down the gap between my leg & the actual boot itself, so i just gave up! although when you think about it, if most places are charging 70 to 100 for boots anyway, a pair of fantastic boots for 150 wouldn't really be that bad. good luck, anyway xxx

My mum has this problem too and managed to get a stretchy pair in Faith which don't gape quite as much.

Well...it seems a lot of us have the same problem(!) so why don't shops realise this and go make their boots available in smaller sizes? (Thinner legs I mean...)

thanks everyone. have found some boots on an ebay shop "just what i've always wanted", i asked the seller what the width of the top of the boot is and he told me 30cm. my skinny legs are 29 1/2cm. so i've ordered them and i'll let you know when i get them how well they fit.  they were only 11.99 by the way. x
I also have the same problem, but after about 3 years of looking bought a pair from Dolcis last November.  They are leather and the tops fold down (a bit like Puss in Boots!).  They aren't tight at the top, but because of the fold-over bit, it doesn't show.
I did try duo boots and they were the only ones that fitted!
