OK Here goes, placed a grocery order online with ASDA on monday night for delivery this morning, then I noticed that I had been over charged to the tune of around £9, so I called the helpline and they told me that the promotional products I purchased on monday were no longer on promotion today so I would be charged todays prices, I checked the website and they indeed are not on promotion anymore, but as I purchased these online on monday at promotional price shouldnt that be the price I pay, my confirmation email also has these promo prices on there.
I have also checked other promo products online and it does not state that this product promotion ends on a certain date.

You can reject the goods you don't want for a refund.
You should always read the terms and conditions.
3.1 Prices on the website are the prices charged in store on that day and as the store prices change, We update the website overnight. They are therefore a guide only. There may be some slight variations by the time We are due to Deliver Your order. When You shop on the Website You will pay the same price (excluding Our online only promotions) that You would pay if You came to Our Store to do Your shopping on the day of Delivery.

Take them back to the store and demand a refund.

your mistake was using ASDA
Sainsbury's does not do this
I order my shopping online for delivery (I either use Tesco or Asda) and always check everything the evening before my delivery.

That way if prices have gone up I can change products.
Tesco's are very good in that if you order a promo. and the offer ends before your delivery date, the site actually tells you this before you go to checkout. It also reminds you of offers you may have missed.
Asda's website used to tell you the dates that promos ended, have they stopped doing that?
