please don't use kapok. It doesn't keep its loft and the tiny fibres can be inhaled by small children...its also a devil if you have breathing problems. It goes into a horrid claggy mess if wetted and is very hard to recover. I know that knitted toys are unlikely to be washed but accidents do happen with children's toys. Synthetic stuffing is more durable and cleaner to use, it will stand a wetting and is cheaper as well
