Bird watching, dancing, football (playing or watching), reading, stamp collecting, learning a foreign language, knitting, baking, crossstitch, photography, real ales, walking, climbing, swimming, scuba diving, learning a musical instrument etc etc etc
What ever you fancy I'm sure there will be a group local to yourself to join in with, or to help you along.

Play the saxophone.
Write stories.
Take photos.
Dig up old pots (and stuff).
Do Open Uni courses.
Design websites.
Someone once said that you should have three hobbies: one active, one creative and one 'intellectual'. So you could have swimming, painting and chess, for instance. Riding, flower arranging and bridge, or dancing, cooking and stamp collecting. The permutations are endless and of course, some will overlap into more than one category.
