So far we know ABer's ages, gender, locations, shoe sizes and various personal preferences. I thought it would be interesting to find out what my fellow ABer's jobs/careers are, so, what do you do ?

If you are retired, what did you do ?

If you are a school leaver/student, what is your chosen career path ?

PS. I am not a government spy (despite my name), nor will this information be used on future ID cards !

its not fair, everyone has sooooooo much better jobs then me, i work a night shift in a pizza factory, i run a machine called an ilapak, and i get bossed around by people who cant speak english even tho i have been workin for the company twice as long as eveyone else, my boss thinks if he gives me a teamleaders job then the foreingers will complain that they are being racially discriminated against.   I NEED A NEW JOB!!!!!!!

my idealjob would be a carer for old people, go round to their houses and change lightbulbs and help them with their shoppin ect, much more rewarding then packin pizzas for tescos

ginger I used to be a careworker for the elderly.  If you think you would like it you should look in your local paper as in ours there are loads of jobs going.  Its very rewarding work.If you don't like something, change it. x

Full time jobs - Editing & publishing user manuals for computer software, Advertising Executive, Civil Servant, and now I'm an Entreprenuer running my own business. That's where I'll stay.

Several part time jobs when I was in college like catering, and interim jobs such as a classroom assistant, call centre worker and surgery receptionist.

You can easily get a jobs as a carer, I used to work in a care home as an auxiliary nurse when I was at uni. It was really really hard work, but if you are caring and treat patients like you would want your loved ones treated then it is ok.

Why dont you do some research and even find out about how to be a live in carer even. You can start part time first of all. A friend of mine got into it that way, she is in her fifties and wanted a some work that was rewarding.

Dont get down about what you do now, we all do what we have to do. Its never too late either. Ive changed careers sooo many times.

Still, it's funny because at the same time as doing the care home work, I used to work in a yorkshire pudding factory. LOL I did it all so that I wouldn't be in debt at uni. It worked but Uni did me no good either.

jno - it's been known to happen. The most common word for the language in English is Luxembourgish, by the way. Or some people use their word for it and call it Ltzebuergesch.
