Au revoir and thanks
This isn't a proper question. But the new chat thread isn't up yet. I won't be around Answer Bank for quite some time after tomorrow so just wanted to say goodbye for now and thanks to everyone I've enjoyed debating with over the past few months.

For you, from all of us..... goodluck
Awwww thanks!
Basically I've got a new job as kaktus mentioned - you do pay attention don't you? There have been loads of security and background and medical checks to get through and so while that's been done I've been doing boring tasks which don't take much time at the County Council. Hence spending so much time here.
Anyway I've passed everything and start Monday so I'm leaving work tomorrow.
Don't think I should, or will be able, to surf the net so much at least to start with and I'm on training things all through July and August.
Hope to be back at some point and may start popping in at the weekends etc if the withdrawal symptoms get too much...
Take care
Lillabet
Oh no! Don't leave!! Who's gonna answer all the law questions now?
Perhaps I can take this opportunity to ask about those job appliations you've(d) been going for. Given your background, I wondered if it was for training contracts. If so where?
Where are you going anyway? Anywhere nice? Will you please bring back some cake! Or send us a postcard! Have a lovely time!
Byeeeeeeeeeee xxx
acw The law questions are all yours. Have fun! My background is mainly in Criminal law - my PhD was in criminal evidence procedures. So most of the law things I've answered have been just remembering undergraduate stuff. Best of luck with your career, and hope that the LLM goes well.
As for where I'm going. I know this is a terribly cryptic answer but I'm not allowed to tell you. I'm all Official Secrets Act bound. It's a public sector job rather than a private sector one and the pay isn't brilliant - but it just looks so so interesting...
