My friend believes that her father may have had more children after he left her mother (her father has since died). Does anyone know how she can find out please?

Unless the mother of these possible siblings was married to the father, the birth registration would not contain the father's name, unless he attended the registration on the day the birth was registered with the mother, or on a subsequent occasion.  If they married after the registration of the birth, the father can be added to the registration and the child legitimised.  So if you are searching and only know his name, it would be very time consuming.  Unless of course there is a mother's name that your friend is aware of.

You could try Census which is an organisation which heps trace your family history

I found an adopted nephew on UK People Finder.
