Isn't it great?
The dreaded wig is virtually extinct, along with the Bobby Charlton comb over, and the egg in the nest has given way to a shaved head.
Has society finally got something right?
Women's wigs are a different thing, they can look really lovely. I had one I wore on bad hair days, walked right past Dave at Bangor station he didn't recognise me
On men wigs can look very dodgy, as we all know. However I don't think all men can get away with a shaved head. Alexander Armstrong is losing his hair, but I can't imagine him with a totally bald bonce. Must be tough for men.
My dad's hair went thin when he was quite young, and a few years ago he started to do a combover. I had to tell him to stop it. He was quite upset, but I had to do it. He looked ridiculous.
My first husband started losing his hair in his late twenties. I bought him some clippers and he just did a number 2 (6mm cut length) all over. Looked great on him. Probably helped him pull Peter the Airline steward...
don't know why men bother with toupées etc..they do look daft...but ladies wigs can be very real and lovely...would rather a man be bald than do daft comb overs etc...
