I have a friend in the UK whose son has got onto serious trouble with the law. He is under arrest & facing drug related & burglary charges, he is just 20.

It's come out of the blue for them & they are naturally devastated, I know him very well & keep thinking about his lot in prison awaiting trial. Will he be kept alone or be in a cell with others, what is likely to befall him?

I have a pal who is on remand (trial next week). He's in a shared cell with one other. They get more time out of their cell if they have a job in the jail - usually cleaning etc. Can't say what your man will "get" - depends on the degree of offending, any previous, etc..
