Best city in Australia

What is the best city in Australia to go to live and work for a year? I've heard Sydney is expensive. What about Melbourne?

Brisbane (Queensland ) is the best .

My brother-in-law worked in both Sydney and Melbourne for about six months each, and said that Melbourne was by far the nicer of the two!

Because I'ved there for the past 40 years and the weather is great all year round (more equable than either Sydney or Melbourne) and it's the fastest growing State in Australia .All the southerners are moving up here !It's just the best place to live IMHO.

According to my daughter and granddaughter Melbourne has a better night life but I wouldn;t know or care about that ,it's too cold down there in the Winter !
