I was looking for a more definitive real life answer though.

I work with someone who says she used to share a flat with them but won't say where or when. I just wondered if it was true or not.

They were at Cambridge together and it highly likely they may have lived together either at University or afterwards.
Has this person got a Cambridge connection?
Why would she make it up?
Try writing to Stephen Fry and asking him - he is very affable and open and it wouldnt surprise me if he replied.

Well that doesnt really add up does it. I know Fry and Laurie never lived in Manchester so your co worker has moved about has she?
I suppose if she is a bit of a fag hag (Fry a big gay and Take That starting off in gay clubs) it could be that. If you want any pre fame Take That facts checking to catch her out just ask me and i'll try and prove her wrong!
