I went dentist to have my fitting for new dentures.I may be getting on a bit in years but why do these young girls which I must admit were very nice think we do not have a brain and do not understand.as they speak as if you are a child.I did not say anything as I have to go back next week.I am not miscalling the nurses as they were very good just made me feel as if I was missing a brain cell.

A lot 'more mature' patients feel very stressed and uncomfortable in these sitautions, so the nurses are trained to be very gentle, speak slowly, and gently, so that the more disoriented patients are not strssed further, and do understand what is happening.

Since this criteria obviously does not include you, make a little chatty conversation to make it clear that you are not at all unhappy, and you are still in poession of all your mental facutlies, it's only your teeth that have retired a little earlier than the rest of you!
