Now that the Irish Welsh and Scots have turned England into the modern industrial society it is today by creating and running some of the most successful companies in the world, should they return home and enjoy the fruits of their labours. They can always be called upon to offer help and advice, should things go wrong, if English people are not up to the task.

casaespana..........you really know how to rub salt into the wounds of one of the few rmaining East Fife supporters.
That wasn't nice at all!!

And as far as athletics go, MC would be better off in field events with the javelin after stabbing Charles Kennedy in the back.

Hi casaespana,
The last one to leave England should put the lights out to save on the bills. Re: your question, it would be the same as when the Aliens left Earth after showing our forefathers how to build Stonehenge etc. Everything would go downhill fast..?.

By the way, it fascinates me how people choose their pseudonyms; casaespana, is your house in Spain?
Is Gary bald? Is Corby's loo worth commemorating in print? Gammaray sounds hot stuff, and we could get sparks off raysparx, I'm sure. Englishbird sounds lovely, like a robin or a cheeky sparrow. ianess might be Ian's wife? And the Rescuer will save this thread from self-destruction, perhaps.
As for me, well I'm a nut about comps, that's all folks.

CompNut
CompNut ma name is THECORBYLOON......
Ouch! THE CORBYLOON, sorry for mis-reading your moniker.
I guess you live in Corby?
I thought you were 'the corby loom' and you used to work in the steel works winding wire.
As it is your just a looney eh?
Aye I live in Corby and "loon" is an Aberdonian word meaning laddie or young man.
Well thank you very much CompNut. Strangely I have Bart simpsons voice in my head in a bad accent saying 'Cheeky Coc-ker-ney Sparrow' Although I'm not a coc-ker-ney.
casaespana, you say that you can't stand people who don't get their facts right. In that case why did you post a question that is factually untrue?
Question Author
Gef. I can assure you that I check my facts very carefully, spending hours researching the subject matter. If you care to read any of my other posts you will find this to be the case. I hope this addresses your concerns.

That's why I now live in Scotland.
casaespana, buenas tardes (good evening). And here I was imagining you writing from the balcony of a white Moorish style casa instead of with the rest of us in chilly Britannia.
TheCorbyloon, Laddie, know any more good old Aberdonian words you could share with us, please? Repeatable ones, I mean....
It is so nice to read everyone's replies and have a little chuckle as I've been nursing an ill friend and there ain't many laughs in that, I can assure you!
Sorry for nae replying but Ah wis fair ferfochan the ither nicht..........
Question Author
CompNut. Glad the replies brought a smile to your face. Very sorry to hear about your friend. I hope things get better for both of you. Meanwhile I will leave THECORBYLOON to translate his braw Aberdonian accent.
