The Coconut Grove in Tuebrook had sticky floors and no locks on the ladies loo`s, plus they were usually flooded ! There were palms trees and a boat to sit in. Sometimes there would be a man with a real live snake at the top of the stairs as you went in ! Those where the days !
Not sure if the Broadway Club in Norris Green is still there, everyone would go on a Sunday night as it had a late bar.
tuppence2 - lived in L11 then, a taxi home only cost about 1.20 but have also done the long walk home via Breck Rd with shoes in hand when the taxi queue was too long! Couldn't do it now!
Coronaman - also remembered another caberet club was Pickwicks and up Hope Street there was a club called Chauffers, always remember it was empty in there!
