most aren't though and i think some people are over sensitive
it would take a lot to offend me
the only joke i have ever heard that made me be very careful about telling anyone it is this - (and i would warn them first that it was a bit iffy)
why didn't superman save the twin towers?
because he couldn't get out of his wheelchair...
...mmmm..
its a double whammy so you see how that could offend some people can't you?
i don't think it is particularly funny but i have heard people roar with laughter and others tut.

Most jokes told in English pubs do not relate to healthy, white Englishmen with a C of E, or agnostic background, so I wouldn't expect many English people to take offence at many of the jokes told. However, put an Englishman in a French, Arabic or Australian background for a year or two and his opinion about the offensiveness of certain jokes may well change.
