The only non-chavvy part of the medway towns I know of is Newington.
Supposing we look away from the Earth, and travel in our imaginations, across the vast endless stretches of outer space. There we can imagine other stars, stranger stars by far that ever shone in our night sky. And other stranger people too. People perhaps whose civilisation, skill and efficiency may be far in advance of ours ... well, that's where I'm from =o)

I used to live in Chatham....many moons ago in the sixties.Sheppey eh? That brings back memories .Went back to Chatham for the first time since 1969 a couple of years ago for a school reunion .I was not impressed !
I live in Norfolk now where I was brought up as a child but have spent twenty years in London previously to moving here. Have lived in all sorts of places ,Germany,Holland ,Norway and Denmark.
