Someone called it me once as an insult, and then I used it as my email address when I couldn't think of anything else, and it kind of stuck.
After trying several others that were all taken, I used my surname (Robinson) and the year of my birth (1982).
Well I am from Yorkshire - but to be honest Lass is debateable ! lol

Someone called me Angeldraws once n i thought it was funny.......so come on vortex - why yours????
I saw a band once called The Vortex and they were pretty cool but that was already taken on here. It was the closest username I could get ☺
Mine's from way back.

Hey Vortex thats cool but how did ya get that smiley on?????
i started off my AB life as Jules1968 but changed it to unruliejulie after i had a problem with the other one. I chose this name because an old friend always used to call me that! I loved it and now he is in the USA and occasionally i get a call out of the blue saying hello unrulie!!! It makes me think of my lovely friend who is so far away.
This should explain angeldraws ☺

There ya go vortex.....but ony two....!! Lol
I chose mine in hope of receiving the benefit of the doubt when I say things on here that may sound a bit 'off'. In my own language I'm kinda particular about the finer nuances of the words that I choose, but that's a luxury I can't afford when chatting in English. Also, when I don't put my foot in it language-wise I may still do so because I may not always be able to read between the socio-cultural lines, misinterpreting references that everyone else understands.

So I thought about 'Swede' - but that sounded rather like 'Dumkopf' (at least in American English, I believe), which would have been kinda counterproductive for my initial purpose... :) Decided on DaSwede, which by the way also gives the wrong impression com-ple-tely.... but I like it!

Good question, angeldraws. I enjoyed reading y'alls replies.
Cos I am and interfering was too long to put in front.
Because where I grew up on the beach in front of the whaling station at Grytviken we were all known as Gentoos, but I wanted to be different and stand out from the others so called myself gen2

P.S.
You can see me in my avatar, but unfortunately, this site doesn't allow them :-(
