How about a selection of English bottled beers? Coals to Newcastle, I know, but you can do a fun tasting with your friends. I assume that you will be going by car.
If they are in the shops when you are there, why not get some Christmas crackers?
Where in Belgium do you live? I'm in Braine l'Alleud.
Brighton Museum and Gallery (near the Dome and Royal Pavilion) well worth a visit, particularly if you're interested in style/design/fashion (not just clothes!)
Brighton also has one of biggest 'alternative' shopping scenes outside London (North Laine). Lots and lots of quirky stuff.
Parking in Brighton is a pain, though. And quite expensive.
My parents live in Littlehampton....nice beach. Go to 'Georges' fish bar near the harbour.....lovely and the ice cream shop next door......even lovelier!!!!!
