Just how far does it go? Apparently, these days prisoners can just about challenge every rule in the book if it can be interpreted as breaching their human rights . Or persons entering the country illegally, being able to question the decisions of courts to deport them. Has the government made a rod for it's own back by embracing this law in such a wholesale way?

Not before it's made millions for our lawyer Prime Minister, his lawyer wife and all their lawyer friends in London, Brussels and Strasbourg of course.
It has certainly made a rod for the back of any future government, but, Carol Anne, we are not alone, and one day we may have a government which has the courage to amend or repeal this Act. Make your candidates very aware of your views!
