On which Saint's Day was the Stamford (Lincolnshire) Bull Run traditionally held? Thanks very much for any help you can give.

Possibly St Martin .. roughly the middle two weeks in November characterised by the slaughter of beasts for the winter.This was known in medieval times as Martinmesse or Martinmass.
Not much help but may give you something to go on.
