Little Gems.

Do you know any little gems of places you have discovered and would be prepared to share with us. Here's one for starters: The Wesslyan Church, City Road, London. Not the church itself, which is interesting from a historical/social aspect, but the loos ! They are situated outside, down stone steps. Ladies to the left of the church Gents to the right. You will enter a shrine to Thomas Crapper ! A chamber of cubicles and urinals in their original and pristine 19th century glory. Porcelain pans in beautiful wooden frames decorated with blue designs. Original pull-chain cisterns. All immaculately clean.

Come on you City workers, discover a hidden part of your London! See you in the loo !

Amendments to the above:

1. it is the Weslyian CHAPEL, not church.

2. Thomas Crapper was the inventor of the flush toilet. All the toilet facilities in the chapel loos are original Crappers !
