Prove it

Hi I have applied for a new job but need I.D for the interview, as I dont own a passport or a drivers license they have told me a prove it card will suffice. Have been lloking on the net to find the website but can only find websites that sell FAKE'S - I want an official card as I am 24 and see know reason to lie about my age lol. Anyone know address or indeed where I can pick up a leaflet to apply for one. Thanks

Or you could tell them to stick their job. ******* hell, they're demanding that you get a fascist ID card just for an INTERVIEW? Could you please tell us the name of the company so we can boycott them?

All companies are supposed to request ID so that the person can prove they have permission to work in the UK.

Most professional bodies will accept a utilities bill/credit card statement as proof of ID. They usually require a photographic means as well but surely as this is only the interview, any job offer could be made dependant upon production further ID - giving you time to obtain it.

Jenstar - You will need I.D for all jobs that involve data of customers so we don get so many maniacs handling our private business. Telling them to stick their job won't help me buy my house!
