the reason i ask is - i want to ask the ab ed if the �bersensitive profanity filter really necessary? normal swearwords are fair game i guess... but starring out s****horpe for example!? JUST PLAIN SILLY!

I'm 44, and for most of my life have had a REAL personal struggle against bad language (put it down to stress), so I really do know everything there is to know about foulness, and a bit more..!! But even I get a little upset when I hear ten-year-old's in the street using every word under the sun, and I can't agree with Janetex that every word in the language is equally wonderful. I was about sixteen when I started to swear, and back then certain words were still practically an executable offence. I can't help feeling society would be a little better if it had stayed that way, and kids with REAL problems in that direction were helped early on as I should have been, or simply firmly punished. (Obviously, the AB filter is way over the top, though..).
