What do you call visiting vicars?
6 Answers
There are few bums on seats now, so many vicars tend to divide their services between parishes. There is a special name for these visiting vicars which I heard the other day, but have since forgotten. Has anyone any idea what the term is? It's really bugging me!
Thanks x

It wasn't peripatetic, no, that term can pertain to any wanderer, apart from a vicar attending to several churches at once. It was something else...and the term referred to one vicar attending to the needs of several parishes, rather than a TEAM of vicars...(you can just see them in their football strip can't you??)
