To answer the question, I'm in Cornwall, so round here everyone is from "Up North"! Do seem to prefer northerners tho.
I'm originally from London and have lived there for a very long time. Up until recently I've was of the opinion that South was far better than the grotty North..........until I actually visited a few places up there:) Admittedly I haven't been to loads of Northern cities (only Nottingham, Loughborough, Manchester, Derby, Barrow??!), but from what I've experienced I have to say I totally agree with cardboard. In that the people are really friendly, there's hardly any snobbishness (is that a word?) and the girls are easier.
I would love to live up north for the reasons stated above, but unfortunately, the jobs are down here.
I'm sorry. I'm sure someone said the north/south divide was Watford?
I wonder whether we'll get someone on here from the Shetland islands saying that places such as Glasgow/Newcastle/York are southern?
What's your problem georgit79? Why are you persecuting me? I only offered my view on the questions posed. I thought that's what this website is all about.
Sorry.
