It sounded like a brilliant visit and i wish he'd get out and about more as i would love to see him, still not seen the Queen in all my 55 years, missed her by minutes in Wigan last summer. Seen margaret when i was 8 and Diana and Charles when my daughter was 18months old but that's it. Oh well, one day eh/

hey! I;m not 55 til October DOH!!!
I've seen the Queen quite a few years ago when she came to York....she was smaller but much prettier than I'd previously imagined.
Saw Charles and Di but she didn't look well as she was pregnant and suffering with morning sickness.....I must say I'm not a fan but he has a charming smile.
Although I live in York I've never seen Andrew..........
I saw Di when I worked in Covent Garden, she looked up and waved to us.
Sandringham is very near where I live and they are often out and about in places where you wouldn't expect to see them. I must admit seeing royalty does nothing for me.
I've licked the Queen's backside but these days stamps are self-adhesive.
Met Prince Andrew last summer when he opened the Royal British Legion Hotel near us - he was lovely, very funny and 'normal' !!! Gorgeous too!!!!!

Oh i think i would get giddy, I was so excited last summer thinking we were going to see the Queen, we caught sight of her car pulling away though.
When we got introduced to Prince Andrew, we were all told how to greet him and what to say - none of us did!!!! We forgot everything we were told!
My ex employer went to tea regularly with the Queen at Sandringham. Cosy little affairs. The Royals mix a lot with the villagers.
Prince Andrew is quite dishy. Quite plump now but still the best of the royal bunch.
Question Author
I went to Sandringham about 21 years ago but they weren't about lol
I agree Prince Andrew is definately the best!!!
Question Author
my youngest son was given his second name for Andrew.
My Mother was a royalist. I loved to wind her up about Phil the Greek and the rest of the royal family.

Don't make me post Prince Philips heroic British war record again cas , it's very heavy reading. His medal count alone takes some reading
Philip may have been a member of the Greek Royal family but none of them were Greek. They are all descended from the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg.
Question Author
my kids are descended from a family from saxe- coburg gotha too
Didn't mean to offend Dot. It's just I am not a royalist.
