Has anyone been to Singapore?  I am going there in mid April for two weeks and I would be interested to be advised of anything important.  Thanks!

Raffles is great for a singapore sling after a hard day's shopping on Orchard Rd.... Also the museum there is worth a quick look.
A good day out can be had on Santosa Island, either getting there by Cablecar or walking over the bridge from the city, the island has loads to offer all tastes

When I visited Singapore our guide informed us it was a 'Fine' country.

Drop cigarette ends, matches, chewing gum - any kind of litter - don't flush the toilet, and a host of other 'little' things and you are liable for a Fine!!!  Having said that I found it to be possibly the cleanest place I have ever visited. The people were friendly, very helpful, and made me feel really welcome. I suppose it's like anywhere you go elena, respect their laws and customs and you wont go far wrong.

Try a day at Singapore zoo, a ride on the river in  a 'bum-boat', the orchid gardens, an evening cruise/dinner in the harbour. If your budget will allow, how about a day trip across to Malaysia.

Oh................and if you stop off at Raffles after shopping, don't have a singapore sling...........have 2 or 3.......Lol.
