The Flohmarkt is popular in most German towns, not out of cars but on blankets, tabletops etc.

Yeah there are, they are often called Trodelmarkt and sometimes the individual villages hold them in the streets as a sort of community thing as well which is more of a Flomarkt. Just pick your area and dates on this site and it will tell you what is on and where.
