What's A Polite Way To Answer A Mobile Phone?

In the good old days, we used to answer the telephone with 'Hello, Whitehall 231.' With the rise of mobile phones and spam calls that doesn't seem sensible.
So, what's a polite way to answer one's mobile phone?

hello usually, if it's cold caller then it's a swift cut off the phone

I put on my poshest voice (not easy for a Yorkshireman) and say sweetly, "AIDS helpline. How can I help?"
If the reply is a mumbled, "Sorry wrong number" I press the red button.
If the caller says, "Ey oop, yer soft booger!" I know it's my wife (so again I press red).

(Well OK, I use my real name, not Ethelred)

i just say "good morning" or afternoon or evening - whenever it happens

The most useful for an unknown number is probably 'I'VE NEVER HAD PPI'. If they're still there they may be worth speaking to...

It really depends who it is and can vary form from ' Hallo..... (insert name here).....' to 'What do you want'?, but if it's a number I don't know I'm always super polite.

Why would you say hello to yourself if its someone you don't know and assume that they are you?......

"Hello, Darling, who is it ?"

Like I'm sure many people: if the number is not in my list of contacts I don't answer it. If there's anything worthwhile going on a message will be left and I can choose to ring back or not
