Sorry to bring up such an odd subject, but it’s only come about because of (would you believe) music.
Tons of years ago a friend and I did the engineering work for a band who wanted to record a couple of demo tracks. The title of one song, we later learned, was the name given by psychologists to a specific phenomenon. It’s when a person, in a kitchen with another person, takes a knife from the drawer for quite innocent culinary purposes but imagines, for a moment, stabbing the other. It’s a very fleeting thought and, typically, the person has absolutely no violent tendencies at all and would never consider doing such a thing.
This ‘thing’ has a specific name and I’ve been racking my brains, unsuccessfully, to remember. There is something called misophonia, but that’s not it. The song title consisted of two words.
I must stress this is of vocabulary interest only! It’s just that, a few days ago, something reminded me of the recording session and that led to me trying to remember the song title.

MISOPHONIA ???
Nut Case?
Do read the question, balders.
Is that a technical term, Svejk? ;o)

Forget that, ^^^^^^ wrong!

Not misophonia - in fact I shouldn't even have mentioned that; I misinterpreted someone's definition of that online.
Cymrophobia
It's my technical term for someone who 'dreams' about plunging a knife into you, jo. That and OH.
What's OH?
It's not 'Imp of the Perverse' is it?

It's definitely two words. The band was quite art house in style (the singer was trying to be like David Sylvian!) and the title felt like it had a very 'arty' name.
other half, jo.
Doh! Ta :o)
Blood lust?
Primal urge
Question Author
The two words were unusual - not sure I'd heard of either before. Possibly Latin?
Cacoethes carpendi?
Question Author
Sounds good, but sadly not the one.
I didn't think that was it - but hoped it might trigger something off in your mind/memory.
