We know it’s that simple, and no one is suggesting that those words be used in an abusive way towards anyone, but it’s utterly ridiculous to substitute words with letters in conversations where such terms are being discussed. We’re all obliged to behave like a bunch of children hinting a swear words. I’d guarantee that whenever those initials are used the words themselves run through the readers’ or the listeners’ minds so we’re not erasing them from our vocabularies – we’re simply hiding them because we’re afraid to say them openly.
