I know in the past youngsters had threadbare jeans...sometimes cos they were old ,but deliberately taking a pair of sissors ...and its always just the knees...looks truly terrible
It's just fashion. I remember my mum loved her punk ripped jeans in the 70s and 80s, the 90s had it, I'm sure the 2000s did and here we are again. It's alright, you don't have to wear them if you don't want to.
Does anyone else remember sitting for hours in the bath, in rapidly cooling water, in order to shrink their jeans to skin-tight? I always got blue legs from the dye as well. :(
Sure do, jourdain. Shrink to fit Levis for me, took ages for the Blue to wear of my skin. The Levi's were as stiff as cardboard before the bath treatment to.
I remember having to lay on the bed to get the zipper up...and they were stiff as boards when dry. I think my first pair were Lee jeans. They lasted til they fell apart...with a few holes in them.
;-)
It's just a trend. The fashion magazines are full of "this is what you'll be wearing this month". It's all ridiculous.
I remember when skin-tight jeans were in when I was a teenager. I used to stitch my jeans even tighter after I'd put them on, and had to undo my seams to get them off.
Drawing pics on jeans was also a big thing back then.
