We are always told that immigration enriches our society.
I disagree.
Apart from foreign food, what are the net benefits?
We have terrorism, a net drain on our benefits system, and a school in Southampton, (YouTube ), has 32 languages spoken, and parents cannot speak English.
I fail to see any benefits at all.
The ANTIFA love it.
Sadly for me, I am white, heterosexual, and male.
Only those who can identify with some kind of minority group get the approval of the neo liberals that are taking over.
They view our flag as a symbol of oppression. They approve of Islamism. They support any and every sexual identity and they are running out of letters of the alphabet to identify themselves.
Up to now it is LGBTIQ. but might have missed some.
Only a strong ALT RIGHT government can save us from this disgraceful invasion of our culture and national identity.
What can we / you do in our everyday lives to try and stem the tide of this neo liberal communist agenda of destruction of everything that we should hold dear?

But we all want what we want, don’t we? To put it simply you want us all to refer to trans-women as ‘She’ or ‘Her’, without a second thought for the many real women who find having their gender hi-jacked objectionable. Additionally, you’re happy with all black short-lists, but Theland, as a white heterosexual male, being excluded from such lists, couldn’t find an all white shortlist if he tried. They simply don’t exist. That’s his problem – and that I understand. Don’t you?

Oh my goodness... are you aware you are actually from Africa, we all are? There isn't such a thing as immigrants in my eyes. We all live on this globe, we all own it, why on earth are there so many boundaries!?
Different cultures enrich our lives every day. The food we eat, the clothes we wear, the phones we use... all have benefits from other countries.

Theland, I find some of your phrases rather alarmist but then I walk a very dangerous middle line in life and am often mocked because of it here.
I have had decades to see the dynamics of my home town alter gradually, Danny mentioned the woollen mills, here it was cotton. To some of my Mother's generation these incoming workers seemed exotic and somewhat strange, but soon were part and parcel of the working day.
I take people as they come and respond in each given situation accordingly, I have no time for ranting and raving and avoid extremes wherever possible as I find that destructive.
It's true some of our age old pastimes and traditions have waned but that's more about not getting our young to keep up what interest in them we may have had.
Extremism has made many suspicious and uneasy and I too understand that , as good neighbours we should all be watchful but as SP and others have stated for most people daily life goes on.
* Some of the comments near the start of this thread by a certain poster were nasty, now that is unwarranted.

/// I think the reason why younger people don’t feel bothered by pressure groups - is that they by and large agree with their aims. ///
I know a number of young people and that is not the message that I get from them.
I still maintain that pressure groups and liberal thinkers are instrumental in driving a wedge between groups that would otherwise integrate with each other left to their own devices.

//To put it simply you want us all to refer to trans-women as ‘She’ or ‘Her’//
I would like that, but I won’t hold a shotgun to someone’s head.
Give you an example, if I were in company and the conversation turned to Caitlin Jenner, I would refer to her as ‘she’ and ‘her’. If whoever I was talking to insisted on calling her ‘him’, I’d discuss it, but I woudln’t force it.
People are complex.
Regarding all black shortlists. I’d like to know the context in which I support that. Thorny issue.
By the way - I bet Theland could easily find all white shortlist’s. There are great swathes of the UK without a single black or brown face within miles.
...Pembrokeshire for instance.

But some have made their parts better than others, so shouldn't they now enjoy their part instead of others coming from their unkept lands to yours?
By the way have you yourself got a perimeter fence, hedge or wall around your own 'little land'?

You posited:
//I still maintain that pressure groups and liberal thinkers are instrumental in driving a wedge between groups that would otherwise integrate with each other left to their own devices.//
If that’s the case, how comes young people are so liberal in their outlook? How comes young people strongly favour equal marriage, and same sex adoption? You may indeed know young people who are much more conservative in their outlook, but I bet they are way less conservative in their outlook than you were at the same age, right?
Each generation gets more liberal than the one before. They don’t necessarily *stay* liberal, but you can almost guarantee that the 16 - 35 year old group are a lot less rigid in their social outlook than Baby Boomer and Gen X.

Theland you sound like the worse kind of extremist nutter, you make no sense, you profess to be a Christian (Christ was a Middle Eastern Jew and your religion is an import from there like it or not) and I frankly find people with opinions like your every bit as terrifying as other extremists. Get a grip and stop living in fear, it's pathetic to hide behind your own prejeudices, just come out and say you hate/ fear other cultures, other sexualities, other anything that isn't 'straight white and male', at least then you would be being honest, as it is you just look like a cowardly, ill informed, bigot.
Everything Sp said in his first post is valid, I've not seen a single sensible argument from you.

AOG, my point remains the same, whether the Africa theory is debated or not - you didn't evolve in countryside of England did you?
And having a front door is hardly the same as blocking the borders of a country. It is human to 'set up camp' and 'settle', just as it is human to 'explore'. If we never went any further than the end of our street the world would be a very boring place.

You put forward:
//I still maintain that pressure groups and liberal thinkers are instrumental in driving a wedge between groups that would otherwise integrate with each other left to their own devices//
Do you think the same could be argued about right wing groups and ‘conservative thinkers’?
Do they not also look to drive a wedge between people who would otherwise get along?
