If you consider yourself left wing, or Antifa, would you tell us why the left support immigration, are so vocal in support of Muslims, oppose Brexit, and shout " racist " at people who wish to protect our borders and our culture?
Addressing other issues I have not mentioned would be welcome.
This is a thread of genuine interest.

My politics are generally well to the right of Margaret Thatcher's and often more in line with Adolf Hitler's, so I certainly don't count myself as a member of 'the left' but . . .

(a) I support immigration because all of the statistics show us that immigration benefits the UK financially (and because it broadens our culture) ;

(b) while I detest ALL religions (and Christianity in particular) I see Islam as no better or worse than any other such utter claptrap ;

(c) I recognise racism in those people who protest that they're not racist (but quite blatantly are) ; and

(d) I oppose Brexit because it would be economically disastrous and a step backwards from Europe becoming a SINGLE country (rather than any type of confederation of states), as it ultimately needs to be.

Chico - the benefits of immigration have been overstated. So many unskilled unemployed immigrants testify to this.
EU - doe the lack of democracy, the corruption, and the incompetence not bother you?

I think there are some contradictions. There are some aspects of Islam that go completely against the views of the Left . I am surprised more on the left- particularly in student unions- don't speak up more about some aspects of Islamic groups' ideology.

I think there is also an irony in that the former Communist countries seem to be extremely intolerant to black/brown skins and immigrants generally.

In my experience some of the strongest anti immigrant views come in traditional lower working class areas but overall they still vote Labour rather than Tory/Liberal.

Finally, it is worth noting that not everyone on the LEft opposes Brexit. Many leading very left wing figures over the years, including Jeremy Corbyn, have been hostile to the EU.

Oh, and it's not just those on the Left who can spot racism and oppose it. I haven't voted for anyone but the Tories now since 1979. I dislike the sort of racism and strong anti Islam prejudices we read every day on AB ad nauseam

And for the avoidance of doubt I do bleieve in controlled immigration - we do take too many of the wrong kind economically and socially- and taking a very firm line with illegal immigrants, and I think a tougher line should be taken by the EU with migrant boats. Maybe my views make me a Liberal Luvvie to some and a racist to others

Refugees are supposed to seek refuge in the first safe Country they reach, in most cases that is not the UK.
