It seems that as a society we constantly make excuses for Islam and how it impacts on us.
People standing up to it are vilified, called right wing extremists and even jailed.

It takes a step back and a realistic appraisal of the dangers, as Pat Condell does.

Can you fault his opinions?

There are plenty of Muslims in this country who lead useful and integrated lives. I think it's a pity that we don't speak out only against non-integration and radicalisation of some Muslims and not condemn Islam out of hand.

Threads are allowed to meander within reason, Naomi. People for sure can question the motive behind the OP. In any case you can’t have one person deciding what is and what isn’t acceptable on a thread, particularly, as you in this case, where that person has a particular bias on the subject matter.

There is a mechanism to report a post if you feel it has broken Site Rules as I am sure you know.

I think people should be permitted to question whether it is about his religion - i.e. if that it what drives these posts. They should also be allowed to question where this attitude fits in with his religion - does he think he his god wants him to take this attitude.

If you don't agree, report this post I will accept I was wrong if it is removed .
