It seems that as a society we constantly make excuses for Islam and how it impacts on us.
People standing up to it are vilified, called right wing extremists and even jailed.
It takes a step back and a realistic appraisal of the dangers, as Pat Condell does.
Seems to me the larger problem comes from some insisting all Muslims are the same and the extreme view is the only correct Muslim one; supporting those who support extreme action against all Muslims and telling others with more moderate views that they are wrong and simply are ignorant of the fact.
I find people like Theland an enigma; they are so full of hatred yet preach about god. If god exists, and it is a good god, it isn’t going to look kindly on people like him. I don’t believe in god, but I am not frightened of there being one. I think a good god would judge you on how you have lived your life, not on whether or not you chose to follow the right god out of how ever many we are told there are.
I have stopped making excuses for all religious zealots. They are simply hate mongers......If I were to believe in a god I would expect all of them to be consigned to hell for all the hatred they attempt to spread whatever their religion. Some 'christians are as bad if not worse than some muslims.
Suspicion of Islam shouldn't be construed as hatred but rather as a frank recognition of reality. Furthermore, Theland’s religion shouldn’t be made an issue here. This isn't about his religion.
Theland is someone who pushes his religion and shows hatred to another. It is quite fair to address that in his thread. In any case we certainly don't need Naomi to tell us what we should and shouldn't post. She should be thinking about what she should and shouldn't post.
