Eid: When Sainsbury’S Just Won’T Do

//A family have been filmed hacking up animal carcasses in their back yard in Dagenham. It is not known if the family — celebrating Eid al-Adha, the Muslim festival of sacrifice — slaughtered the animals at home or were simply butchering them. Sun columnist Anila Baig said Muslim families traditionally sacrifice a goat or sheep and divide it into portions for Eid al-Adha. But she added: “In this day and age, it’s extremely unusual for someone to do this themselves at home.//
Whether or not this family slaughtered the animals themselves, someone did. Animal sacrifice in 21st century Britain. Oh the joys of multi-culturalism!

However, blindly being 'outraged' or 'incensed' at some inflammatory article in a publication such as the Sun, regardless of lack of any evidence as to why and how the animal was killed is at best credulous .
// The question isn’t about how these animals were killed but why.//
The same reason millions of Turkeys are killed every Christmas.

Just twigged that there are two threads running. I posted this on the other. Answers on a pin head.
"Do you think that the Environment Health Department responsible for ensuring the well being of the local residents in Dagenham should be investigating this practice? Or are you comfortable with wholesale butchery of carcases, that as yet have no known provenance, for consumption by possibly unknowing people? It would appear that the mistakes learned over centuries, in Britain, can be "overlooked" and regulations introduced to combat malpractice and epidemic can be ignored in the name of acceptance of alien custom and diversity. Talk about a step back to the barbaric dark ages. "

The post at 10:39 should should have established the connection.
Let's expand it:
"Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى, translit. ʿīd al-ʾaḍḥā, lit. 'Feast of the Sacrifice', [ʕiːd ælˈʔɑdˤħæː]), also called the "Festival of Sacrifice", is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year (the other being Eid al-Fitr), and "considered the holier of the two. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command. But, before Ibraham could sacrifice his son, God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead. In commemoration of this, an animal is sacrificed and divided into three parts: one third of the share is given to the poor and needy; another third is given to relatives."

Good grief !! And this is what we get from a so-called religion of peace where kindness and consideration is supposed to be shown to all animals. FGM of female children, control over their women, cruelty to animals. As for butchering carcasses up in their backyard on a dirty tarpaulin well I hope they all get food poisoning.
Do not open the link if you are easily upset...or maybe if you're not easily upset. (yes I know this is Canada)

This is why I don't agree with the 'meh' attitude...let people butcher a full animal in their backyard and eventually they will be slaughtering them too.

Plenty of people slaughter and butcher animals in their own backyard for human consumption where I live, commonly known as "home kill".
Guess we're pagans from the middle ages too.
ps: Home kill meat is the best I've ever eaten, tender, juicy and beats the heck out of anything that has suffered being trucked from farm to saleyards to slaughterhouse over numerous days.

If people want to let immigrants into this country, they shouldn't be surprised when something like this happens. You reap what you sow. And we are sowing the seeds for this kind of thing to become commonplace in the UK, which, in a few more generations will be a totally Muslim country, with total Sharia law. But that's multi-culturalism for you! Wonderful, eh?
What an amazing thread I've missed. Starts with "animal sacrifice in the 21st century" even though there is no evidence of that, just of some backyard butchering (horrible as that is to most of us), then a few bits of dodging and weaving, and leads to "UK, which, in a few more generations will be a totally Muslim country, with total Sharia law. "
Since you asked Talbot, yes, I watched the link.
A neat and tidy "backyard", people cutting meat, no sign of slaughter.
Where are the pools of blood?
Who really knows how the animal was killed? (something Zacs has being trying to point out)
I do think they could have gone to the effort of closing the side gate so "virtue signalers" wouldn't be totally disturbed. If they had an awning so those above couldn't poke their phone camera in nobody would be any the wiser.
Now the thread, as per usual, has turned into the usual anti immigration carp.
Whatever floats their boat, if they wish carve an animal (which is commonly devoured by many) to share with like minded people who cares?
Nobody will force you to eat it.
ps: Backyard, really? hee hee.
