Indeed it has, jim. I'm not disputing that. My last remark was deliberately flippant. What hasn't been around for ages is the notion that individuals can "self-identify" according to whatever way the wind is blowing on any particular day and take advantage of the facilities offered to each gender as suits them. Believe it or nor many males and females enjoy the reassurance of "men only" or "women only" facilities of various types. They should be able to use those facilities without running the risk of an individual of the opposite sex roaming about amongst them because they've changed gender for the day. As is often the case, the rights of the vast majority of people are being sacrificed to accommodate a relatively very small number of individuals.
