Not sure what you mean by ‘drug companies hold sway’. As far as I know the big pharma don’t have anything to do with recreational cannabis use.

I don’t think it will become legal in the UK any time soon.
I think that policeman was wrong to publicly say they’re basically turning a blind eye on cannabis possession. By all means do it, but don’t tell the public it’s a free for all now.
