Choose A Seat

You walk into a park, or any public space for that matter, there are two benches, and you would like to sit for a time, the one bench as one person already sitting down. Do you choose the empty bench to sit on, or sit next to the person on the other. And the reason for your choice.

if you were from the mediterranean area you would sit on a bench already occupied, they do chat to each other unlike the uk citizens,

if the unoccupied one was in the shade and the other in the sun I would sit on the sunny one .

I would probably choose the empty one. The person sitting on the other one might not want company.

I'd prefer to sit alone, but it would depend which bench was in the shade as I prefer to sit in the shade.

Ok Lynne I'll chat with anyone when I'm out and about, but park I'm thinking about, If someone wants to chat I'll talk to them.
