Letter in my local rag a few days ago castigating people that ''Always seemed to be out'' ''They need reporting'' etc.
FGS, people still go to work, still need to shop, still need to take care of others who CANT get out.
And yet...Im starting to feel a little paranoid about it all.
I need to shop (when I get the chance), I need to go to work and I need to visit my sick and housebound mother....

Too many curtain twitchers for my liking!

Yeah so.. don’t go out, ie stay at home.. lol
I am starting to feel a little paranoid at times, as our little shop is just across the road from us..Other than that, most days, me and OH, go for a walk, a mile there and back to a garage shop. Don't always buy stuff though.
My M-i-L died of Covid-19 earlier this morning; alone in a hospital ward.

Anyone who behaves in a cavalier manner when it comes to following the 'Corona Virus' guidelines is beneath contempt.....utterly contemptible.

We *all* have a duty to mitigate the transmission of this infection and if it causes a little inconvenience......well, so fecking what?!?

//Fine, be flippant about the measures we should take. Good luck to you//
Thread was about some curtain twitchers who THINK that they know better.
There are so many busybodies about who aren`t quite sure of the rules and are telling everyone else what to do. For me, that is one of the irritating things with this whole situation.
Sorry to hear that Jack, my condolences. x
Or shall i tell everyone the whole “stay home” campaign is poorly worded?

Quit being so pedantic. The rules are stay home and dont go to different households unless for care. Shop twice a week max unless emergency and you can go out once a day for exercise.
And to your partner of course.
“Who think they know better”

They probably do to be honest. Or do you think you know better? Seems contradictories of annoyance?
Jth i’m sorry to hear that
So sorry to hear that, Jack.

Please accept my sympathies Jack and Mrs Jack ♥
(( jth )) - my sincere condolences to you both x
I’m not really quite sure what it is you don’t understand, nailit.
You can go to the shops, go to work, go and care for your mum.
That’s what you’re doing isn’t it? So what’s the problem??
I doubt these curtain twitchers have only just started twitching their curtains since the coronavirus crisis.

And if you don't look for curtains twitching you won't see curtain twitchers.

Condolences Jack...its all bloody awful. No words can say!
Thankyou.
This is when it stops all happening at a remove; this is when it is up-close and exceedingly personal.

I left the house once the week before last (Chemist to collect pills) and once last week (large ALDI shopping trip) and wear a surgical-type mask and latex-gloves.

It doesn't take any time out of my day to follow the guidelines and it makes it more probable that I'll stay safe and uninfected. It also makes it more probable that, *should* I be unknowingly infected, I am unlikely to pass this on.
Jack. I am so very sorry to read this. My condolences to you and to Mrs Jack.
A very small comfort I hope. My nephew is a doctor on a coronavirus ward. He and his colleagues make sure that nobody dies completely alone. He will sit and hold the hand of the dying patient for as long as he needs to. Not family I know....but I am sure your MIL was having her hand held too......this is a horrid time. Gx
It's open.
