Tora, nothing in your link contradicts what I said.
I love it when you come in late to a question, and there's just a load of bickering going on that's got nothing to do with the question.
I brought up God in response to the assertion that Satan has convinced the world he doesn't exist and that God is no different in that respect.

The 'understanding' that "Everything" is evidence of God, "Bad Things" are evidence of Satan and "man working hard and getting released from prison" is evidence of the Holy Spirit are purely thought exercises and nothing more, I could do it right now no effort required.

This would mean that to fully "understand" the origin of the universe, human evil and human nature, all huge and complex subjects, actually takes no effort or mental capacity. This doesn't seem true to me as to understand a complex subject usually takes many years of research and work, one doesn't suddenly understand nonlinear photonics - but apparently it's possible to suddenly understand the beginnings of the universe, seems highly unlikely.
I love the bumblebee engines. BA for that !
I have used it in this topic before, it usually brings a smile - that pleases me.

Goodnight.
AH 22:54, I was responding to Locust at 09:06 yesterday, who was responding to you.

Tora tora tora////ocust: "andy-hughes Here was something that was against the laws of aerodynamics, yet clearly in evidence, bees do fly, when science says they can't. " - oh dear, that old myth!
https://www.animal-dynamics.com/ad-blog/2019/9/9/how-do-bumblebees-fly

locust//Toro thank you very much for directing me to the YouTube documentary on bees it was very interesting and I found it very enlightening to-- . Because the body does?? - to get motion is fantastic and it gives me more more inspiration or belief .
there must be a creator or a supreme being- { dynamics }..
-And the things which the body does - to get motion is fantastic and it gives me -more- more inspiration or belief - there must be a creator or a supreme mighty spirit
in this part of the tact - I found this the fascinating because it have 2 muscles which- actually rotated the the wings of the Bee - they used its body to to manipulate the Wings up and down.

{ Cope and paste} Crucially, unlike birds and bats, bees (and flies) have no muscles that attach directly to the wings (other insects, like dragonflies, do have muscles attached to the wings, but that’s a story for another blog post!). The main wing movement is driven by two large pairs of muscles in the thorax.  Figure 1 shows these muscles: the DVMs (dorsoventral muscles) run from the top to the bottom of the thorax and the DLM (the dorsal-longitudinal muscle) runs from the front to the back of the thorax. When the DVMs contract, the whole body gets squeezed top-to-bottom, and this causes the wings to flap upwards.  In contrast, when the DLM contracts, the body gets squeezed front-to-back, and the wings flap downwards. This is shown in figure 2 below.  By contracting at different times, these muscles make the wings flap.

you can't tell me this took over thousands of years to put in place in this little bumblebee is not credible -yes we use science to explain many unknown facts of this universe and insects details and they are incredible when You Are start to analyse them as I did not know about the even the little bumblebee and the fantastic way it is made - just have a designer

Naomi 24 //Locusts, //never really put their true points into the discussion//
You don't appear to want to consider them though. You seek only endorsement of your own opinions and hence you learn nothing.

Locusts//, I think that's a bit unfair because I've tried to answer all your questions. I may have missed a couple . but because I've been thinking of answering other post
I might have been a bit clumsy or out of context but what I've tried to an answer them truthfully. To answer all your questions it takes me longer with my limitation of English I am not a professor in English .
True Mamya. That's the buzzing sound of all cylinders firing.
Locusts, I know English is not your first language and I’ve reminded others of that, but that isn’t the issue. You do have a penchant for overlooking questions that are difficult for you to answer - such as if God killed everyone except Noah and his family, who recorded the flood in other areas of the world?
Locusts, ask yourself, why are you getting asked such questions?
Is it because the questioner is seeking after God, or is it just to blow holes in your beliefs?
I think its the latter.
Its up to you if you fall into the trap, but be careful, it is usually just entertainment, or a deep seated need to know there is no God to answer to.
Theland - // Locusts, ask yourself, why are you getting asked such questions?

It must be depressing to live in a world as simplistic as yours.

There are two types of people in your world -

Christians (of course they have to be the same sort of Christian as you - no Catholics!!) who believe in God and the bible and endlessly pontificate their superiority and look down on people who don't think as they do.

Atheists - which is the rest of the world's population who are ignorant, love to mock you, know nothing, and are damned to eternal damnation.

I don't think you need to advise Locusts that this is how your world is - his is exactly the same.

The reality is, there are not just those two types of people, it simply makes your life easier to see it that way.
Theland, why do simple, rational questions frighten you so much? Only a few days ago you were encouraging Locusts to continue posting here - and now you’re warning him to be careful. Careful of what? Exposure to truth?

//a deep seated need to know there is no God to answer to.//

That’s pathetic, Theland, really it is. Your usual threats mean absolutely nothing to me - but if makes you feel better - and I can only assume it does - what do you think I and others need to answer for?
No threats from me.
Yes he should keep posting but just be careful not to become a plaything for you.
Point scoring again Andy? Grow up man.
Why won't you answer my questions Theland?
Theland - // Point scoring again Andy? Grow up man. //

Did I hit a nerve there Theland?

You always claim to be seeking the truth, but as usual, your truth is selective, when my truth lands on you, you get angry - again.
Always think of Theland and his ilk when I see this...

Is religion just a symbol of gullibility?

Zacs - // Is religion just a symbol of gullibility? //

I don't believe so.

I think that the human mind, from prehistoric times onwards, has needed an explanation for things where an immediate and obvious explanation is not available.

If primitive man saw an eclipse, or a thunderstorm, or a volcano, he would search for an explanation of what made those things happen, since they were beyond his experience.

That began the worship of the sun, the moon, rivers, trees, anything, and as man evolved, his worship strategies became more sophisticated, graduating to gods of one sort or another, with no one deity holding sway over humanity as a whole.

Modern man, as a sophisticated as he is, looks for explanations to massive events that affect his world, and that leads to conspiracy theories. Moon landings, 911, Diana's death, Kennedy's assassination, all come with masses of conspiracy theories because mankind shares a deep need to explain things, it makes him feel secure.

So no, I don't think it's gullibility - a lot of people need the emotional security of a god, others, and I am one, do not feel the need.

But as endless debates on this site show on a daily basis - it is the deity worshipers who fret over the unbelievers, rather than the other way around.
