During the height of the pandemic, I lost my job and got kicked out and when I tried to find a friend to help me move he said "I would rather hangout at the beach then help you move." Because he had the day off that day. I then had to rent out a room with no washing machine. That's crazy.

Maybe your friend values his leisure time & thought that helping you move would be to much of a chore. I tell friends - ask me anything you like, but don't be upset if I refuse. Nothing to do with covid.

Yes definitely. Also the 'I'm alright Jack' attitude is much more prevalent. Its as if some folk have gone into survival mode.

as for the friend - happens I am afraid. Ask for help and they say no. No news there

fren' My fren' (X) helped someone move (Y) and I tagged along since I was weight lifting then and prepared to do heavy work. Piano on finger tips up stairs stuff ( usual)
