It May Just Be Coincidence....

... but I have yet to see a single 'non-binary' / 'they' / 'gender fluid' etc.etc individual, famous or anonymous, whose clothes, hair, facial expression, and overall demeanour-
are not silently screaming -
"Please please please, for God's sake notice me, I am starving for the attention of complete strangers!!!!!"
Anyone disagree?

That's your interpretation, and it is incorrect.
// How can you write to me ‘I am happy to concede a dislike for people who disrupt the wider world’
And then answer to Gness
‘First of all, I don't 'have a dislike' for 'gender fluid' people’ when your thread is entirely about the disruption they apparently cause? //
It's not 'my thread'.
I made a casual observation, and you are determined to make it far more than it is.
The disruption is a valid point, given the impact on schools in particular, who are forced to accommodate the whims of pupils not old enough to understand the casual decisions they make, as the children they are.
I dislike anyone who thinks that their own way of living means that they are entitled to bend the world to their will, and that applies to a large number of high-profile causes, I simply made a casual observation about this one, and then responded to points made.
If you want to make me a bigot with a hysterical fear of things that don't affect me, that's fine, but I know it's not accurate.

I can’t make you anything, Andy. But the evidence is there for people to draw their own conclusions. The vehemence of your protestations speaks volumes about your confusion on the matter.
I know it’s hard, as we all get older, to accept that it’s no longer the world of your youth but to get so wound up about matters which have zero effect on you seems like an awful waste of your remaining life.

This (and, indeed, everything else you're saying) is an incredibly warped presentation of what, basically, amounts to the request "please don't bully people who are different from you".
So some people are attention-seeking. So what? You aren't obliged to give it to them. And, in any case, there's almost certainly a whole history behind somebody's mode of self-expression, that you just skipped right past. It never hurts to at least *try* and understand what a person's motivations are, rather than write it off and try instead to justify your prejudices.

To assume someone is ‘ silently screaming "Please please please, for God's sake notice me, I am starving for the attention of complete strangers!!!!!" Because you haven’t yet seen a single gender fluid person’s appearance suggesting otherwise is crass and ignorant in the extreme.
As others have suggested, maybe you need to appreciate that you may well have seen people who aren’t ostensibly gender fluid but are? Has that ever crossed your mind?

gness - // You labeled yourself, Andy. //
If I was looking to 'label' myself, the term 'bigot' would not be my first choice, funnily enough.
i made a light-hearted observation which Zacs has tried moving heaven and earth to make something it absolutely was not.
If you want to join in and deliberately ignore the explanations I have offered for my view, then carry on, but like Zacs, you'll be running in circles without my input.

There are photographs in this link of a couple of folk who describe themselves as being gender-fluid.
Would you describe either of them as appearing to be, "starving for the attention of complete strangers"?
