What was I eating a while back? Well, it was simply a concoction I knocked up to use stuff up:
120g of frozen mussel meat, defrosted and warmed in a tomato and chilli pasta sauce (with a few baby tomatoes chucked in), served over penne pasta.
(Quite tasty but I think that it would have gone better with chips, rather than with the pasta).
That was followed up by a large portion of strawberries, simply topped with sugar, and then a tub of Stracciatella Kvarg.
All I've had were a couple of chicken sandwiches which did stay fresh ;-) ... but wow I do feel hungry again. Just put on some beef burgers and onions. keeping it simple.
You work too hard, Lcg!
Put your feet up and enjoy your red wine, whilst your oh gets on with the bbq.
Just had a glass of g&t, mixed with tonic water, lemon & lots of ice.
Just waiting for our pop in the oven curries to cook. :-))
I wouldn't do it if I didn't want to, Patsy. We're doing major work in the garden and OH is building me an office out there too. The overtime will all go towards it that and some nice holidays. How's your lovely grandson? x
Ditto for not knowing Cointreau. lime and soda but I am now wishing I had some Bacardi, I used to love a Bacardi, lime and soda.
I've just had salad, Jerseys and a salmon filet washed down with Pellegrino.
Salmon, Jerseys and salad does sound delicious. I've not tried the Barcardi, lime and soda but I revisited Bacardi on my recent trip to Riga and I enjoyed it. I've gone off gin recently.
I know...Got to be done. Will be great when all finished..
My grandson is doing very well. He's a little sweetheart. He's doing very good at school, and has lots of friends. Hooe your little darling is doing good too. He looks a lovely little boy :-)
Thanks, Patsy. He is a lovely boy even if I say so myself. I can't wait to take him on holiday and see the delight on his face when he sees all the water slides and the lazy river. He jumps from foot to foot when he gets excited.
He loves school too and gets invited to lots of birthday parties - that costs a small fortune constantly buying presents for his classmates.
