Trump – A Complete Idiot
Towards the end of a recent AB thread some have said how arrogant I am to claim that Trump speaks complete nonsense; well here is a video for you to judge for yourself.
The video is of recent Trump nonsense, mostly what he has said on the campaign trail in his (successful) bid for the presidency – likely statements his voters believed to be true.
It does not include Trump’s claim that the noise from windmills causes cancer, or his suggestion to inject people with disinfectant to cure covid.

The fact is that the American electorate were faced with a choice between him and some probably even more unsuitable for the position.
The random 'Independant' candidates were possibly better balanced, politically and mentally, but they never really prosper in American elections.
The voters can't cherry-pick the policies of which they approve and those which are unrealistic, they have to embrace the entire package - which is why the Covfefe-tweeting, science-denying, orange-faced narcissist has just been elevted to the highest office in the land.
11:52 Indeed I just find it disturbing the insults bandied about for not agreeing with the left wing mantra on everything. The idea that 74million people are too stupid to vote the "correct" way. I don't agree with labour voters but I respect their choice and that they made that choice in good faith. I think they are wrong but I would not label them uninformed, horrible etc. The left seem to do that when they cannot grasp why someone may not hold their view.
In our recent UK election, I agreed with some things that the Tories were promising and some things that Labour were.....
However, given that we are not offered a nuanced approach my part which best reflected the majority of my concerns got my vote.
I think a lot of the people who voted Republican felt the same - it was not necessarily a whole-hearted endorsement of DJT, but Harris and the Democrats hadn't done enough to sway the majority of voters where it mattered.
I don't think you can reasonably denegrate whole swathes of Americans because they didn't vote how you think they ought to have done, on matters that will affect them directly.
I think a lot of people are very concerned about certain aspects of trump's thoughts on women and his and his team's policies against women and people of colour.
it has already been suggested that women travelling out of state would need to provide evidence that they are not pregnant and are not seeking healthcare elsewhere.
The your body my choice movement started by one of Trumps closest campaign advisors is also very concerning especially as women have already experienced these words being thrown at them in the street.
trump incited an insurrection the last time the vote didn't go his way. he has for years spread disinformation that the vote was rigged.
that's not respect for the other side or for democracy. trump doesn't have that.
the republicans as a whole have also made it quite clear what they want to do. ban books, ban trans people from existing, ban entertainments they consider degenerate, use violence against their political opponents, and end democracy in the united states.
i do not know if they will succeed in these things. but anyone who voted for them while knowing these things is a horrible person. i have mentioned before that there are many trumpists in my extended family. regretfully having listened to their justifications for doing this... that is the unpleasant conclusion i came to about them.
The thing that irritates the bejesus out of me with the left like Hymie and untitled is they state the tens of millions are stupid as though it is fact rather than opinion, and anybody who voices a differing opinion is equally stupid and wrong. It lends itself to their arrogance and narcissism.
Personally I find DT odious, but I wouldn't have the arrogance to accuse those that don't as stupid. I may question their reasons, but by the sheer number of people who did vote for him it stands to reason that not all are stupid.
