Well I'm not sure who you mean in the 90's, but another previous model (now a developing actor) is Djimon Hounsou who came to Paris from Africa at a young age, couldn't find work and then ended up on the streets, where he was later discovered by Thierry Mugler who put him on the catwalk.

He has since gone from modelling, to appearing in a Janet Jackson video, to appearing in ER, to having supporting roles in films such as 'In America' and 'Blood Diamond'.

nope it's definitely not him. This guy was white. Had brown hair.

How about our very own Vernon Kaye? Wasn't he discovered as a cleaner working on the Clothes Show roadshow and put on the catwalk?

Nope but I'm semi sure he was english or british at least. I remember it being on the news. Long-ish hair. brown or dark.
