I cant remember many tv programmes cos like all the kids in the street I played out nearly all the time.
I remember having great fun going in the fields nearby after the farmer had harvested the corn and every kid in the street would be there making bases and having straw fights before the farmer burned the fields.
Gawd I am so old I remember getting new clothes every whitsuntide lol
One thing that sticks out in my head is the popping candy you could get, I had a cousin in America that used to send me it long before you could buy it over here and I thought it was brilliant stuff.

Hell fellow 80's child...I had the same things you mentioned : ) ...also care bears! And I had something which I think was called a keeper or a secret keeper - it was pink and white plastic - like a small swan - and had a key in it's back and you could store things in it. I also remember my older cousin coming round and crimping my hair!
My Baby Beans doll, talking doll, Sindy and accessories, Tiny Tears doll, Tiddlywinks, Hangman, Hopscotch, Snap, Pairs, Memory Game, Girls World, chalking on the pavement (but sometimes picking up what you thought was a piece of chalk, only to realise it was a piece of white dog poo!), that thing where you put a tennis ball in the foot of your Mums' old tights and bounced it around yourself, whilst standing against a wall and chanting rhymes/singing songs, making a tent from blankets and chairs, my typewriter, waiting for the tune from the ice-cream van, Connect 4, Twinkle comic, My Mums' Shepherds Pie, My Dads' Spaghetti Bolognese, Nobbly Bobbly lollies, a 10p mixture from the local sweet shop, Rupert The Bear, Mary Mungo and Midge, Playschool, The Clangers, Bagpuss, Jackanory, Barbapapa, Hannibal the Hamster Ladybird books, Etch-a-Sketch, Fuzzy Felts, Colouring books, our swing, playing with my friends in our street until it got dark, then coming in for a bath, a warm drink, and a story.....
